President Trump says the nation was horrified by the violence at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month. In a farewell speech, the President said political violence is an attack on everything Americans cherish and can never be tolerated. A group of pro-Trump supporters stormed the Capitol just as Congress was certifying the election results in favor of Joe Biden. Several people lost their lives in the violence. It also led to Trump being impeached for a second time on an article of inciting an insurrection.
