Study: Florida's Retail Workers Get A Middle-Of-The-Road Paycheck

When it comes to pay, retail workers in Florida are right in the middle.

A new study by the website Business.org finds that the average retail worker in Florida makes less than $28,000 annually. That's $20,000 or 42-percent below the average for all occupations in the state.

That disparity ranks Florida 25th in the nation.

The study also finds that Florida's retail employees have to work more than 82 hours to afford the median monthly rent.
