Braves Sweep Marlins

Marlins down all night, came back in the ninth-inning, only to lose 4-3 to Atlanta.

The score was 3-1 after the third-inning, and stayed that way till the ninth when the Marlins bats started finding the ball. Luis Arraez, Bryan De La Cruz and Jazz Chisholm Jr. all started the the inning off with a single. With the bases loaded and no outs, Josh Bell smashed a laser to first basemen Matt Olsen. Olsen mishandled the ball leading to Arraez and De La Cruz scoring, and everyone safe. Then a groundout, fielder's choice and a strikeout would end the inning, but the game would go to the bottom of the ninth tied at three.

Calvin Faucher, who came in from the bullpen for Miami, got into a little trouble in the bottom of the ninth-inning, but got the Fish to the tenth-inning. Emmanuel Rivera would ground out to second, getting Nick Gordan to third. With Gordan at third, the hitless Christian Bethancourt hit a grounder to the third basemen Austin Riley. Riley fielded the ball on his knees, spun and threw Gordan out at home plate. Then Arraez, who went 3-for-5, singled, and De La Cruz Walked. Chisholm Jr. would then strikeout swinging to end the inning. Ronald Acuna Jr. was the runner on second with Michael Harris Jr. coming to the plate. Harris Jr. hit a double to center to end the game and complete the sweep.

The Marlins finish the road trip 2-5, and come back home to an off day on Thursday. Then Marlins will start a four game series at loanDepote Park against the Washington Nationals on Friday.
