This year the event may look a bit different, but the goal is still the sameâŚraise funds to help the Humane Society of Broward County continue their mission of helping animals and offering amazing educational programs for people of all ages.
This year the walk will be virtual which means you can live anywhere on our great planet and take part! The walk has always been the shelterâs largest fundraiser, and while we wonât be walking in downtown Fort Lauderdale this year, you can still raise funds and walk in your neighborhood on Saturday, March 6th! Set up your walk page online at www.walk4theanimals.com and email it out. Raise $150 and get the official walk t-shirt! The more money you raise the more goodies you earn.
Have friends you want to walk with (socially distanced, of course!), create a âPackâ of two or more friends or co-workers, raise $1,500, and get official Walk Pack perks.Â
Event Chairs Carey Morgan of Fort Lauderdale and Leslie Puro of Lighthouse Point are thrilled to be chairing the event, along Jacey Birch of WPLG Local 10 News and support from iHeart Mediaâs Doc Reno of Big 105-9, and Letty B and DJ Laz of Totally 93.9
And remember, you donât need to have a pet to join in the fun. Click here for more info.
