After missing the postseason a year ago, the Florida Gators are headed to the Peach Bowl Dec. 29 to face off with the Michigan Wolverines. The Gators finished with a #10 ranking in the final College Football Playoff rankings and bid in a New Year’s Six bowl under first year head coach Dan Mullen.
Florida and Michigan are no strangers to each other in the bowl season, as the Gators and Wolverines have faced each other during three previous bowl games. Florida is winless in their last four match ups against Michigan.
The Gators (9-3) enter the match-up with the No. 7 Wolverines (10-2) riding a three-game winning streak following consecutive losses to No. 5 Georgia and No. 23 Missouri.
UF now will face the nations’ top-ranked defense, despite a stunning collapse during the regular season’s final game to Ohio State.
