Gators Roll But Lose Key Players In Win Over Tennessee-Martin

The 11th ranked Florida Gators (2-0) rolled past Tennessee-Martin (0-2) 45-0 on Saturday night, but lost two key players to injury in advance of the start of conference play.

Dynamic wide receiver Kadarius Toney left the game after taking a hit to the arm in the first quarter, while speedy cornerback CJ Henderson left with what Gators head said was a mild ankle sprain. He offered no indication if either would be able to play when they begin SEC play against Kentucky next week.

The Gators had no trouble working through Tennessee-Martin, breaking the game open with two touchdowns in the second quarter and never looking back. Feleipe Franks went 25-for-27 with 270 passing yards and two touchdowns in the winning effort, while the Gators out-rushed Tennesee-Martin 231 to 54.

The Gators begin SEC play when they head on the road to take on Kentucky next Saturday night. Kickoff from Lexington will be 7 PM between the Gators and the Wildcats.
