Marlins Sweep Phillies, 20-15 over last 35 games; Time for Fans to Show Up

The Miami Marlins have been playing extremely well for a stretch after a poor start to the season. With superb starting pitching and some timely hitting the Marlins have been not only exciting to watch but winning in the process. A team this young and inexperience going 20-15 over 35 games is impressive. This team fought back to a respectable club after starting 8-21 to a team no National league squad wants to face at the moment. The Marlins even swept the divisional rivals Phillies at Philadelphia.

Last night a Marlin's Boardcaster shined a light on a growing issue. Now the hard truth. Marlins are dead last in attendance this year, averaging a little over 9,000 a game. No fan wants to go and see a losing team day in and day out, but that's not the Marlins. I know fans don't want to go to a bad ballpark, that's Not Marlins Park (one of the best ballparks in MLB, Not a bad seat in Marlin's Park.). No fan ants to pay a ton for concessions and tickets, again that's not Marlin's Park, with great deals starting at 3 dollars! You can get a beer for 5!, Plus the Marlins offer great ticket packages for families.

Why Not go to the Park? Miami has a young exciting team with many bright spots all over the diamond and many more to come in the near future. Isan Diaz, Monte Harrison, and Sixto Sanchez will hopefully be Miami stars, but right now we have a bunch of great talents playing in your backyard. Jordan Yamaoto, Caleb Smith, Sandy Alacantara, Garret Cooper, and Brian Anderson are all young talents playing well and contributing to their recent success. Go to a ballgame and check out all the improvements on and off the field.

This isn't the Loria Group, This ownership group wants to win and keep a sustained winner in Miami. The process isn't always pretty, but we are now starting to see the fruits of the labor on the field, with more coming hot in their heels. These guys deserve our support. An opposing team's fan base shouldn't outnumber Marlin's Fans in Marlin's Park. Hopefully Miami wakes up soon and recognizes the talented team being built in Marlins Park.
