Uncomfortable Questions that Still Need to Be Answered in Tiger Woods Crash

Uncomfortable Questions that Still Need to Be Answered in Tiger Woods Crash
Jason Smith: “What was said by the LA County Sheriff I’m really not buying, and I’m not cool with them already clearing him for any fault during the crash… I understand that when they looked at him and said he wasn’t drunk or under the influence of any other medication – okay I understand that from your cursory look, but there are tests you kinda have to do and look into to make sure that this was just an ‘accident.’ There are certain things that you can be under the influence of that maybe it doesn’t seem that way because you just had a bad accident and the adrenaline is flowing. Not saying that there was, but it’s a little early to say ‘yea, this was just an accident.’ He even said there was no evidence that Tiger Woods was distracted while he was driving, even though he was asked ‘what if he was texting while he was driving?’ then responded ‘well, we can pull the phone records if we have to.’ So wait a minute, you’re saying there’s no evidence he was distracted but you have yet to pull the phone evidence to do it? I’m not saying let’s go after Tiger Woods, I’m just saying that most people if something had happened – are they getting treated like THIS after a car accident? I’m glad they’re being humane towards him, but I just think it’s a little early to sit here and say ‘there is nothing wrong, it was purely an accident and we’re moving on.’ They haven’t even gotten the black box report about how fast he was going. We don’t know what his speed was. We saw how far his car went when it flipped over the median. It could have been going 110 or 120 miles per hour. I feel like all these things could be true – where Tiger lost control of the car – it’s just a little early to say ‘everything is good, we’re moving past this.’ There are still some outstanding questions you want to know because this is how you should do your job, and how you do it for everybody else… How do you know he wasn’t distracted when you haven’t looked into it? I’m not cool with it. It doesn’t sound like there has been a lot of ‘investigating’ the last couple of days… It clearly wouldn’t be like this for everyone after a crash… I feel awful for the guy, but your job is still to do this.” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to Jason Smith discuss some of the specifics behind the Tiger Woods car crash, and explain why he’s ‘not cool’ with the LA County Sheriff’s department quickly dismissing the incident as an ‘accident’ before they ever even attempted to thoroughly investigate the sequence of events leading up the crash.

Check out the audio above as Smith details why although he obviously feels awful for Woods’ predicament, the police department still needs to do their job in investigating the exact causes of the crash just like they would every automobile accident.
